Friday  Participants arrive by 8:30

 

8:30- Friday Supper self made pizza prepared by Euan cooked in our wood fired pizza oven

 

9:30 Euan Craig introduction Video presentation

 

Saturday 8:00 Breakfast –healthy pancakes when you are ready –bread toasted on the  irori sunken wood fire etc

 

Into the workshop by 9:00 am ..

 

Euan Craig intro /welcome and  Demonstration of throwing Kyusu teapot bodies and Lids

Learning to throw the component parts of the Kyusu

 

-throwing bowls/cylinders/bottle forms/..or just hand build and press mold using the local molds

 

10:30 Euan Craig Demonstration of Throwing Handles and Spouts

 

12:00 break for lunch-drive into Mashiko for 1 hour break and grab lunch /see the main pottery area-recommendation to follow

 

1:30 Euan Craig Demonstration of Trimming Teapot bodies and lids.

 

3:00 clean up -3:30 all drive  to visit Ishijima san’s workshop

 

 

 

5:oo return to clean up and get ready for supper-finish work in the studio

 

5:45 Supper at Tonkatsu Chitose (special vegetarian menu can be prepared on request, we will need to notify the restaurant of our order beforehand.)

 

 

7:30 possibly return to the studio

 

9:00 vacate the studio

Healthy pancake Breakfast  from 8:00

 

In the studio by 9:30 to pick up your Eaun Craig pre made Kyusu tea pot set-load the cars with your personal baggage before we go to the studio

10-12:00 trimming /building finishing /cleaning

 

12:15 massive clean up and last van packing

 

12:30 leave for Tokyo-

4:30 arrive Tokyo Hiroo
